I truly cannot believe it was ten years ago...in some ways a lifetime ago and in others just the blink of an eye! My favorite memory of James is a Thanksgiving 1999 layover in Vancouver with Kirsty and Barb. What a great night of conversation and friendship! I was always impressed by the way James embraced the wanderlust that led all of us to careers in the air. I promised myself ten years ago that in his memory I would stop making excuses and make exploring the world a top priority. A Mortgage and babies have grounded me of late, but in 2011 I promise to renew my commitment! Ah, Craig...I don't even know where to begin! I have so many fond memories. I have never met a kinder, gentler, more positive soul. Thank you for keeping me sane during the transition to this crazy airline life. I couldn't have asked for a better roommate!! Paul was truly the other half of the whole. What a wonderful couple, what a great love! I think it was no accident that Paul decided to go on that trip. Leaving one without the other would have been cruel and unusual punishment! I try not to think about how much sweeter life would be if I still had all of your smiles, laughs and encouragement to lighten my life. Rest in Peace dear boys until we meet again!

Craig, I think of you often. Your bright shinning smile, your laugh, and your warm spirit are written into my memory. Sometimes it comes to me when I least expect it. I remember when I am near Bradner Gardens and when I drive through Beacon Hill and I hear your voice describing yours and Paul's garden. I am so thankful to be your friend, I miss you.

How to describe my dearest Allison, that everyone loved and adored. She was the sister of my heart we talked everyday on the phone, we were roomates for years and with the birth of her beloved Hailey a new chapter began. I wish so much that Hailey who is now 14 remembered her mother. That is the greatest tragedy of all. How to tell her how her mother was so compassionate, loving and caring, and WHAT a fashion gene she carried. She could make a paper sack look good. I look back and think of what an impression Allison made on this world. What is because her time was to be so short? The world is a lessor place because her goodness is not shining upon it. You might think is this over exaggerated? But no, I have never ever heard a bad word spoken of Allison. My sadness comes from her not being able to share with the world her unique goodness and compassion with others. Was she a saint no. Definately not. She was stubborn as the day was long, that is once you got to know her. Once you were her friend though your life would never be the same. She enriched my life just by being, a look, a gesture a smile. I look forward to the day when I get to see her again and tell her what a wonderful person her daugter is....

All across our union your fellow flight attendants share the pain of the abrupt loss experienced when some of our own fall to earth. Here in the International Offices of your union, we maintain a plaque of remembrance for those who have given everything in the performance of their duties as flight attendants. Your friends and co-workers from flight 261 have their own place on that remembrance. I know they would be proud of how we have held our heads high and continued to smile through all that we have endured these past 10 years. To the Alaska Airlines Flight Attendant Family, The memory of Alaska Flight Attendants who have fallen in the line of duty reminds us all of our kinship in this profession we so love. The personal stories of each crewmember are touching and moving. I know the Alaska family will keep the names and memories of those who are gone in our hearts and thoughts. Remembering the crew of Flight 261 on the occasion of the tenth year of their passing marks the calendar of those tragic events, but its clear that the Alaska family remembers their fallen crews always. In Solidarity, Bill McGlashen US Airways Flight Attendant
